MONEY-A MEDIUM OF EXCHANGE

Power, Peace, Plenty

Success is a constant vision in the mind of modern man, who envisages it always as a pinnacle of wealth where he sees him self surrounded by large homes, motor cars, yachts, servants, trips abroad, and plenty of time to enjoy himself. "What obtains these things?" asks modern man, and he answers quickly, "Money." So off he sets with his battle cry ringing. "Make money! It is little wonder that from this absurdly false prem- ise he scarcely is able to obtain enough to pay his bills.

The only people who make money are those employed in the various governmental minting houses, the rest of user it. We earn it by providing our fellow beings with services or products which are both needful and useful. Our fellows make a like effort in our behalf; we exchange goods and services. Since it would be extremely difficult for a man to carry a steer to Detroίε το exchange for an automobile, moncy has been devised to represent both of them. We go through our days exchanging our services for the services of our fellows and the exchange of money represents nothing more than the

exchange of services.

Success is not the result of making money, making money is a result of success, and success is always the fulfillment of the individual in productive effort that besters the welfare of mankind. Modern man has got the cart before the horse. He sets out to make money when in truth he should set out to be of service. Createl Build! Serve! Those are the commands of nature. Follow them, and you will find there is no limit to the prosperity and abundance of the universe.

He who sets out simply to make money, sets out to accumu late money. ince acquisitiveness provides no no noticeable serv ice to Since mankind, our incipien incipient money maker has defeated him self at the start. This is not to say that he usay not, for some period of time, actually accumulate a certain amount of money, but he is certain not to be surrounded indefinitely with prosperity, for his premise is not to give but to get, and the law of mutual exchange will catch him sooner or later and exact the utmost farthing of his "getting."

Money has become a controversial subject. The possession or lack of it determines the sides in revolutions, in wars that set one country on another. In an age when the miracle of man's existence has been rudely shunted out of mind by rever ence for material possessions, man has replaced hope and love and peace of mind with despair and hate and confusion by switching his worship from God to dollars. Money has become an end in itself, and any means of accumulating wealth be comes justified because of that end. Blesk indeed is the pros pect of the man who reaches the highest pinnacle of wealth and sees its futility. He cannot buy peace of mind, nor stay his body from aging, nor stop death; and he comes at last to wrestling with his soul, if indeed his years of ignoring that soul have not withered it away.

MYTHS OF MATERIALISM

Abundance and prosperity are true spiritual conditions and are desirable and just for all men, but the pursuit of money. for money itself is both senseless and degrading to the spirit. for it ignores the destiny of man. Our modern social structure,

of almost complete interdependence, cames each of us to lean heavily on his daily supplies of money to provide food and shelter and the comforts of life, things that most of us are not equipped to obtain in any other fashion than through the use of money. Money becomes our staff of life; our se curity rests upon it, and we overlook the eternal truth that security security always always lies within.

In America we have foisted upon succeeding generations of children the myth of the "go-getter and the legend of the millionaire, and we have done cach generation a great diserv ice. The myth of the "gogetter" is rooted in the philosophy of "dog-eat-dog" and "survival of the fittest," and millionaires are all too often the product of an acquisitive society. The go-getter is a result of a materialism which believes there is limited supply and not enough to go around and each man has to provide for himself by taking from others. The million aire is the product of the same materialism that attempta to create security through possessions. Each of these phenomena of our modern age defeats itself. A man whose premise for success is founded on "taking away" is inevitably visiting upon himself this same kind of treatment. A man whose se curity is founded on material possessions is doomed to see his security corrode and rust and wither away, leaving him with nothing but confusion

Let money measure your service. Let your thoughts be always on the further service you can be to your fellows, and you will find their gratitude coming back to you in the form of money: perhaps not from the persons you have servel, but return it will, for that is the law. Take your satisfactions from service, constantly seek to expand and improve it take no thought for the money, which is always the result of service; and you will find yourself involved in an abundance that is unshakeable for it comes from the roots of the soul.

Prosperity is founded on the law of mutual exchange, 10 is poverty. "Whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so unto them," said Jesus, for he saw the great e change of all life, and he knew that one who contributed to impoverishment must be impoverished in turn, and one who contributed to prosperity must prosper himself. So it is that what you give you must get, what you sell you must buy, what you think you must see, and all things seturn home once again.

If we want money it is because we want the servicer of others. If we want the service of others, we must provide them with equal service in return. Our success is measured always in the quality and quantity of service we render, and money isa yardstick for measuring this service, a very fallible one it is true, but a yardstick nonetheless.

 MEDITATION

The infinite creative power of Universal Subconscious Mind lies within me. I attune myself, remove all barriers from my thought, become receptive to the purposes of God. I know that my life is great and good when I perform service with love. The right ideas are delivered to me, I accept them, and Subconscious Mind provides me with the means of bringing them into my world. I know that all things spring from Universal Mind, which is infinitely abundant. Lack and limitation are errors of thinking, and I banish them from my consciousness, There can be no lack. I need only let Universal Mind express itself through me, and my world is filled with creativeness and achievement and prosperity; my goals will be delivered to me, for they will be the goals of God, who never fails. Whatever my task I perform it with love, for I know that when I serve another I serve the purposes of a greater design. All about me I see the law of mutual exchange; therefore I give as I would receive. I know that abundance and prosperity are mental conditions; I create them on the plane of mind with complete trust and confidence that they will manifest in my life. I refuse to accept undesirable circumstance as having final reality. First cause is mental and is never found in the world about me. A mighty truth is at the center of my consciousness, where no work is difficult, where peace always reigns, where all things are possible. I know that life is a journey which must be traveled step by step, and I am patient, enjoying the wonder of the way, with unshakable faith in my destination. I submit my will, knowing that success will come when I fulfill the indwelling Self.

Perhaps you are calling to mind instances of people who have been enriched through windles and through violence and through false promises. Do not he tricked into believing this. Nothing is judged on the day of its appearance, and noth ing corrupt can stand. Prosperity based on falsehood is false prosperity and will wither before bef many a sun. The lasting wealth of this world is rightfully won by those who have ren dered service in equal measure. Such money is not "taken away from anyone, it representa but a fraction of what has been crested. The man who has surrounded himself with a lasting prosperity has enriched the whole world through his efforts. There is no limit to the abundante that can be created out of the limitless Universal Subconscious Mind, and such abundance is available to all. No man can enrich himself without enriching others, for the law of life is that we do not.

MENTAL HEALING

Each person who suffers from ill health has usually fallen victim to a specific ailment. This specific ailment is the result of some obstruction in mind; some false idea, some erroneous conception. When we heal the body by mental and spiritual treatment, we do not treat the body, we treat the mind. This is very important. One cannot get rid of result without first getting rid of cause. Cause is always in mind; bodily ailments are the result.

A lifetime of study would be unlikely to reveal the specific mental disturbances that cause each disease, but no table of mental and emotional disturbances with resultant physical debilities is needed to successfully conduct mental healing. All things spring from a perfect source, and we need only contact this source and allow it to manifest its perfection through our bodies. Said the Great Healer. "Be thou perfect, even as thy Father in heaven is perfect." In so saying he pointed the way to the healing of all disease: Recognize your spiritual perfection.

There is nothing in Universal Subconscious Mind that desires our bodies to be warped away from the purposeful functioning for which they were intended. It is our conception of ourselves that visits disease upon us, and when we have conceived ourselves to be spiritually perfect, we become physically perfect. The real you is not your body. Your body is but an infinitesimal extension in time and space. The real you is mental and spiritual, free of the confines of space and time, limitless in power

and the capacity to understand and create. When you have recognized your true

spiritual self you have become identified with immortal Self, and disease cannot exist

in your body, for there is no limitation in Universal Subconscious Mind.

Therefore all disease may be treated as one disease, which is not disease at all, but simply limited thinking, errors projected into Universal Subconscious Mind. We treat disease by refusing to accept it as having any true existence, by affirming the spiritual perfection in which we are rooted. "Perfect love casteth out fear," and perfect faith casts out physical imperfection.

Yet rare is the man who has perfect love or perfect understanding or even perfect.

faith. We are all neophytes on the great adventure of expanding consciousness, and by the very nature of this adventure we are unable to go beyond our understanding. We stand at the crossroads, peering into the infinite reaches of space and time, exclaiming yet over one grain of sand on the gigantic beach of existence. But the veil is rent and light pours through with great revelation that mind and spirit are immortal and infinite and are always first cause of everything. If acons of time are yet to elapse before man completes his journey to a oneness with God, what does it matter? We all are part of One Mind and truly exist in a place where space and time are nothing. We may call upon Universal Subconscious Mind with the understanding that now is in us, and the Great Creator will respond by creating for us the image of our understanding. If we can find it in ourselves to accept spiritual perfection, Universal Mind will manifest this perfection in our bodies.

Thus the basis of spiritual and mental healing is affirmation. We deny nothing, waste no time dwelling on that which we do not desire. Our moments of consciousness are directed inward, at our spiritual selves, and are aimed at perceiving the perfection that gives us consciousness. What we see is returned to us. Awareness of the center of consciousness, perception of the Kingdom of Heaven, brings health.

HEALΤΗ ΜEDITATION

My body is a manifestation of my knowledge of myself, and my true self is spirit, is consciousness only, and is invisible. Other people see me not; they see but my body. It is only I who know myself, and this knowledge returns to me in my health and in the things of my life. Therefore I affirm that my spirit is perfect, that I am one with the great Self of the universe. The energy of this great Self permeates my being, cleanses me of all impurities of the flesh, restores every function of my body to harmony. There is perfect elimination, perfect assimilation. My entire being is spiritual, and my body is quickened into new life with the perception of this great truth. I surrender myself to the wisdom and guidance of Universal Subconscious Mind. I become one with the purpose of God, and this mighty purpose animates my body, projects into every aspect of my life. There is no obstruction, no barrier, no limitation in my mind. I see only peace, power, vigor, and plenty. I open my heart to love, and love flows through every atom and pore of my body, energizing, molding, coordinating. By healing my mind of limitation and lack and negative thinking, I automatically heal my body. At the center of my being I perceive limitless, deathless, ageless spirit, perfect in beauty, perfect in function; this spirit becomes manifest in my body and in my affairs. When I am faced with apparent confusion, I surrender it, give over each of my problems and worries to that which has the perfect solution and in which there is absolute clarity. I take my thoughts from the limitless reaches of Universal Subconscious Mind, never from the world around me. I do not think responsively, I think originally; I do not react, I act. I am never a victim of circumstances, for each thing of my life proceeds from out of my thoughts, which move always in accord with God.

Unveiling Financial Wisdom: A Journey Through "Rich Dad Poor Dad"

Unveiling the Core Principles: A Deeper Dive into 'Rich Dad Poor Dad' Introduction RICH DAD POOR DAD I had two fathers, a rich one and a poor one. One was highly educated and intelligent. He had a Ph.D. and completed four years of undergraduate work in less than two years. He then went on to Stanford University, the University of Chicago, and Northwestern University to do his advanced studies, all on full financial scholarships. The other father never finished the eighth grade. Both men were successful in their careers, working hard all their lives. Both earned substantial incomes. Yet one always struggled financially. The other would become one of the richest men in Hawaii. One died leaving tens of millions of dollars to his family, charities, and his church. The other left bills to be paid. Both men were strong, charismatic, and influential. Both men offered me advice, but they did not advise the same things. Both men believed strongly in education but did not reco
